Halloween night and November 1st, 2007 - my favorite credit. It was my pleasure to wear several hats for this one. Centerline cam op (100:1 lens in 1080p for off-the-cuff music production...always a challenge worth waking up for). Also served as Texas coordinator and, on day one, default technical manager.
An honor worth waiting decades for; the only way to serve Texas better would be to go back in time and fight for the Alamo.
it didn't occur to me until I was approached about the project that the band (a lifetme favorite for me) had waited until nearly their fourth decade to undertake a full-length official-release live recording, let alone video/DVD.
Eagle Rock Entertainment and my producer Barry Ehrmann were conspicuously gracious. Working for professionals this progressive should be mandated by law.
I can never thank my crew enough for the expertise they put into this effort representing one of the most successful music acts ever.
Live at Billy Bob's series
HD DVD's
This had become a fabulously enjoyable series - until the shock of producer Rick Smith's untimely passing.
Again, for all three of these, I was both centerline camera operator and Texas crewing coordinator.

Spring/summer 2008 - many "hats to wear" (stylish). I coordinated, shot, and floor-directed Winstar Casinos first televised poker.
Six months with a mobile unit on a jobsite which was, coincidentally, a construction site; the resort was being built around us - literally - from time to time.
Word was that ABC's affiliates were very happy with the show's performance; remarkable in a niche as saturated as televised poker.
That's director Chris Brock on the right, waiting for the enormous Winstar globe/set-piece to fall on him...
Pepsi-Cola: Hans & Franz
Oct. 1990
You can't spend many decades in Dallas production without a Pepsi show or two in your past.
This one, like so many, was courtesy of TracyLocke agency. Spent about a week confined on a soundstage with "Hans and Franz," comedians Dana Carvey and Kevin Nealon, respectively. On loan from Saturday Night Live, the sketch characters employed in training for Pepsi's field ops.
They graciously kept us entertained during "down" time.
Thanks to Mike Benatar for the call
Thanks Bill Brady for the snapshot
Joe Bob's Drive - In Theater
The Movie Channel & Turner (TNT) - 1990's
Note this shirt I was wearing one day during a Joe Bob taping.
What about it? That day on the set of Joe Bob, Roger Corman repeatedly tried to buy the shirt off my back.
I still have it.
The Joe Bob productions are sorely missed; I'm petitioning Congress to nationalize the show, reviving it.
I married the spectacular lady with me - I still have her, too.
Mesquite Championship Rodeo,
Fox Sports 2003 - 2008
Another Texas production honor -
Though I don't routinely circulate in the sports production community for team pro/collegiate events, I have a history with equestrian events & rodeo.
MCR at Resistol Arena was been fun. Rodeo is a historic pursuit - & there are a number of "first's" & "most's" associated with Resistol.
